Jaykub E. Anderson tragically passed away on May 1, 2026, in a devastating accident in Argyle, Wisconsin, leaving family, friends, and the local community heartbroken.

The 32-year-old was driving a 2012 Peterbilt milk truck along State Highway 81 early Thursday morning when the vehicle veered off the road, crossed a ditch, and plunged into an abandoned quarry. The impact caused the truck to overturn, separating the milk tank from its frame, and Anderson was pronounced dead at the scene by the Lafayette County Coroner’s Office.

Emergency responders, including deputies from the Lafayette County Sheriff’s Office, the Argyle Fire Department, and EMS, faced challenging conditions during the recovery effort. Highway 81 was reduced to a single lane for several hours as crews worked to recover the truck and document the scene. Investigators are still examining the cause of the crash.
