Étienne Lalande-Markon passed away on April 20th, 2026, at the age of 38, leaving behind a deep sense of loss among family, friends, and colleagues in Montreal. Étienne was known for his loving and generous nature, always willing to lend a helping hand to others.
His sudden passing has left his family, including his 10-year-old daughter Lauriane, heartbroken. Lauriane, who was the apple of Étienne’s eye, now faces a future without her devoted father. In an effort to honor Étienne’s memory and support Lauriane's educational dreams, a fundraising initiative has been established. The funds will be directed into a scholarship fund to assist Lauriane with her studies, ensuring she can continue to pursue her aspirations.
Those wishing to pay their respects and say a final goodbye are invited to gather with family at Église Saint-François-d’Assise on May 16th, starting at 9:30 AM, with a memorial ceremony at 11:00 AM. Following the ceremony, a reception will be held at the Coopérative funéraire du Grand Montréal.
